Hawaii to Chemo round 10

22nd August, 2012

We flew in from Hawaii last night & arrived home around 9.30pm. We both collapsed happily into bed.

Up early today, straight to the Cancer Clinic for bloods and chemo.

Chris was certainly more than a little zonked mid-way through treatment today but with all the beautiful moments, still fresh in our minds, we managed to laugh most of it off... Warning, jet lag & chemo dont mix..LOL.

We bought the nurses some delicious Hawaiian macadamia nuts covered in chocolate, as they all really do such a tough job, always managing to bring a smile to our face...They really are something.

Port Douglas to Hawaii

14th August, 2012

I had recently planned a little interstate escape for Chris & I, a little stint between her treatments, to grab a little sunshine & just chillax.

At the final hour, Susie had suggested that we should travel with her to Hawaii instead. So, unbeknown to Chris, I spontaneously decided to go for it.
Chris only realised what was going on once we arrived at the airport. Chris was obviously shocked but thrilled at the same time.

Susie was a genius for thinking of this little plan. We all had an amazing experience. This little break away will be held in our hearts & minds forever.
We shared so many incredible experiences, we were all just living in the moment!

Thank you to Susie for your fabulous last minute ideas & for giving us the opportunity, to live super spontaneously, in that marvellous week of bliss.

Photos below tell our tale of relaxation, hilarious moments, with complete belly laughs & the best sunshine therapy ever.

Chemo - Round 9

8th August, 2012

Chemo went pretty smoothly today with no great tales to tell. The good news is that the Dr has added a new pre & post med called 'Emend' which seems to have assisted in reducing Chris's nausea. While Chris still experiences nausea, she seems a little more capable, moving around & doing things slowly.. So, this is brilliant..Yay for Emend!
